Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Dietary Aide to support kitchen operations in a healthcare setting. You will learn kitchen routines quickly and assist with meal tray setup, serving, dishwashing, and sanitation to maintain a clean and safe food service environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene, following recipes and procedures, and cooperating with the cook and dietary supervisor to ensure smooth shift operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly.
• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down and wash dishes after meals.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at shift start.
• Observe water temperatures during dishwashing cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage disposal.
• Store groceries safely and neatly.
• Keep the kitchen clean and sanitary and assist cook or dietary supervisor as needed.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel across departments.
