Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily kitchen operations in a healthcare/food service environment. The role requires learning routines quickly, setting up meal trays, assisting with serving meals, and maintaining sanitation throughout the kitchen.

The position involves operating dishwashing equipment, preparing nourishments, and performing routine cleaning tasks while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. High school diploma and food handler certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to learn food service routines quickly.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and procedures.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at the beginning of shift.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and maintain floors.
• Carry out trash and garbage and keep areas clean.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators and participate in training.
