Job summary

The Dietary Aide role at PACS involves supporting daily nutrition services under the supervision of the Cook and Dietary supervisor. You will help with meal trays, dishwashing, and basic food preparation, while ensuring cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, can follow recipes, learn routines quickly, and are willing to obtain a food handlers’ certificate. This on-site position requires physical stamina and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas including surfaces, refrigerators, and floors.
• Observe and record conditions for dishwashing equipment (temperature, chlorine levels).
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel across departments.
