Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in daily food service operations, including meal tray setup, serving, and maintaining sanitary kitchen conditions. The role supports the Cook and Dietary supervisor and requires adherence to safety and food-handling standards.

The position emphasizes learning routines quickly, teamwork across departments, and capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds. A high school diploma and a food handler certificate are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and technical procedures.
• Ability to cooperate and work with personnel in all departments.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Learn food service routines and operate the dishwasher.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks and keep the kitchen clean and sanitary.
• Carry out trash and groceries and help maintain floors and surfaces.
