Job summary

WillowBrook in Pendleton, OR is seeking a dietary aide to assist with meal service, kitchen sanitation, and related tasks. You will learn the food service routine quickly, strip returned trays, operate the dishwasher, prepare nourishments, and help with serving meals.

You will check dishwashing chlorine levels, clean surfaces, maintain floors, participate in training, and cooperate with staff across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routine quickly.
• Strip returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at shift start.
• Observe water temperatures of dishwasher during cycles.
• Operate the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly and clean manner.
• Leave the kitchen clean and sanitary; assist cooks and dietary supervisor as needed.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments.
