Job summary

FOREST GROVE is seeking a dietary aide to support meal service and kitchen operations. You will learn the food service routine quickly, assist with serving meals, and operate the dishwasher while maintaining high sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include checking chlorine levels and water temperature, stocking groceries, and ensuring the kitchen is clean and organized. You will participate in staff training and collaborate with other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Must learn food service routine within a short period.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with serving meals and loading/operating the dishwasher.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at shift start.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness: surfaces, refrigerators, floors and waste disposal.
• Carry out trash, stock groceries, and leave the kitchen clean for the next shift.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing dietary staff training.
• Work cooperatively with all departments as needed.
• Observe safety and sanitation requirements.
