Job summary

Menlo Park Post Acute seeks a dedicated Dietary Aide to assist in daily food service operations in our Portland kitchen. You will learn routines quickly, set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, and help maintain a clean, sanitary work area.

Responsibilities include operating the dishwasher, checking and recording dishwashing water temperatures, preparing nourishments, sweeping and mopping floors, and supporting dietary staff with routine tasks. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly and set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving meals and check/record dishwasher chlorine and water temperatures.
• Operate dishwasher and prepare nourishments/snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen, wash floors, and maintain a clean, sanitary work area.
• Carry out trash disposal and restock groceries as needed.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
