Job summary

Covenant Living at the Samarkand in Santa Barbara is hiring a Dietary Aide to assist with food preparation and meal service under the guidance of the Chef or Dietitian. You will deliver dishes and assist in dining areas while maintaining cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.

Strong communication with residents and staff is essential. The role requires a high school diploma, a current Food Handler’s Permit, and ServSafe training is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, hospitality duties, and meal service under supervision.
• Deliver dishes, trays, and designated times/rooms.
• Assist in setting up and clearing dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Follow sanitation guidelines, state/federal regulations, and Senior Living/Healthcare requirements.
