Yona is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in New Jersey. You will support dining services by preparing meals, delivering trays, and maintaining clean dining areas for residents and staff.

The role requires prior dietary aide experience, knowledge of sanitation guidelines, and good physical stamina. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dietary aide or similar role in food service.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines applicable to food handling.
• Ability to operate cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances safely.
• Friendly, patient, and able to communicate well with residents and staff.
• Good physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift items as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables or dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under supervision of a dietary manager or cook.
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms.
• Take down dining areas and collect plates and utensils.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage as required.
• Clean food stations and wash dishes and cookware.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Assist in tracking expenses and menu planning.
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
