Job summary

Bedford Care Center of Picayune is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to assist with all dietary operations, including food preparation, serving meals, and kitchen cleanup. On-the-job training is provided, and prior experience in large-scale cooking is preferred to support our dining services for residents.

You will help with stocking, meal setup, sanitizing work areas, and ensuring trays match menus and resident preferences. Excellent benefits are offered to full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Some experience in large-scale cooking services preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Must be able to read and write at a level necessary to accomplish job duties.
• Must pass drug screen and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Assists with checking in groceries, other supplies, storing food, other duties as instructed.
• Assists in the preparation, set ups and serving meals, snacks, drinks and loading food carts.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, utensils, dishwashing area and any other areas in the Dietary Department or Dining Rooms as needed.
• Assists in checking food trays for menu and diet accuracy and for Resident’s preferences.
• Assists with proper storage of foods and supplies and communication regarding food and supplies availability.
• Assists with cooking, operating dishwasher or other duties as requested and/or assigned.
• Delivers food carts to Nursing Stations for service of meals.
