Job summary

Quality-Center-For-Rehabilitation-and-Healin is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our care team. You will assist with assembling and checking diet trays, labeling food, and delivering meals while maintaining a clean kitchen environment.

We offer paid training and a comprehensive benefits package, with daily pay available. This role supports residents in our LTC setting and requires a positive attitude, teamwork, and the ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and check diet trays before distribution to ensure meals meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food items appropriately.
• Deliver food carts to designated areas and collect dishes after meals.
• Maintain clean kitchen areas, including dishwashing and floor cleaning.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.

Dietary Aide Duties Include:

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in dish room, wash all dishes//utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage

Dietary Aide Requirements/Qualifications:

• Experience in LTC preferred but not required
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc...
• Able to follow and understand procedures
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality

Dietary Aide Job Description:

Prepares items to be used on an assembly line. Works on an assembly line to prepare residents meals. Additional kitchen tasks.

Salary: Up to $14.50 an hour
