Job summary

Chatham-Hills-Subacute-Care-Center in New Jersey is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with resident meals in a compassionate long-term care setting. You will assemble and check diet trays, label items, deliver carts, and support dish room operations to ensure timely service.

Responsibilities include food preparation, snack delivery, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. Experience is preferred but not required; team players with a positive attitude excel.

Qualifications

• Experience in LTC preferred but not required.
• Must be able to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, etc...
• Able to follow and understand procedures.
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality.

• Deliver food carts to designated areas and return finished meals to the dish room.
• Work in dish room and wash dishes/utensils using the dish machine.

• Keep the kitchen clean at all times, sweep and mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage.

At our center, residents are treated to a complete spectrum of Rehab Services and Clinical/Nursing Care. We provide the comprehensive care that meets the specialized physical, clinical and emotional needs of every individual that comes through our doors.

Dietary Aide Duties Include:

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in dish room, wash all dishes/utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage

Dietary Aide Requirements/Qualifications:

• Experience in LTC preferred but not required

Dietary Aide Job Description:
