Job summary

Thewillowsrehab in Suffern, NY is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with meals and kitchen tasks for residents. You will assemble and check diet trays, label foods, and deliver carts while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

Experience in long-term care is preferred but not required; a positive attitude, team orientation, and ability to follow procedures are essential. On-site role with opportunities to contribute to resident care.

Qualifications

• Experience in LTC preferred but not required.
• Must be able to deal tactfully with residents, staff and visitors.
• Ability to follow and understand procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and check diet trays prior to distribution to ensure correct meals.
• Label and date food items accurately.
• Deliver food carts to nursing units and collect after meals.
• Wash dishes and maintain clean dish room and equipment.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to units.
• Keep kitchen area clean; sweep and mop as directed.
• Remove and dispose of garbage per policy.

Dietary Aide

At our center, residents are treated to a complete spectrum of Rehab Services and Clinical/Nursing Care. We provide the comprehensive care that meets the specialized physical, clinical and emotional needs of every individual that comes through our doors.

Duties Include:

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in dish room, wash all dishes//utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Experience in LTC preferred but not required
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc...
• Able to follow and understand procedures
• Positive attitude, patienceand team mentality

Job Description:

Prepares items to be used on an assembly line. Works on an assembly line to prepare residents meals. Additional kitchen tasks.
