Job summary

Creekside Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in assembling and checking diet trays, labeling, and delivering meals within a long-term care setting. The role includes dishwashing, kitchen cleanups, and helping with snacks and cleanliness throughout shifts.

Experience in LTC is preferred but not required. The position emphasizes a positive attitude, teamwork, and the ability to follow procedures in a supportive care environment.

Dietary Aide

At our center, residents are treated to a complete spectrum of Rehab Services and Clinical/Nursing Care. We provide the comprehensive care that meets the specialized physical, clinical and emotional needs of every individual that comes through our doors.

Dietary Aide Duties Include:

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.

• Label and date food properly

• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.

• Work in dish room, wash all dishes//utensils utilizing dish machine.

• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.

• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.

• Carry out garbage

Dietary Aide Requirements/Qualifications:

• Experience in LTC preferred but not required

• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc...

• Able to follow and understand procedures

• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality

Dietary Aide Job Description:

Prepares items to be used on an assembly line. Works on an assembly line to prepare residents meals. Additional kitchen tasks.
