Job summary

Green Hills Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in assembling and checking diet trays, label and date food, and deliver meals to nursing units. You will work in the dish room, wash utensils, keep the kitchen clean, and carry out garbage duties, with daily pay options available.

Requirements include prior dietary aide experience, ability to follow procedures, tactful communication with residents and staff, and a positive team attitude.

• Must have dietary aide experience.
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc.
• Able to follow and understand procedures.
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly.
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in dish room, wash all dishes/utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage.
