Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking Dietary Aides to join our team. The full-time shift is 6:30am to 3:00pm, and duties include assembling and checking diet trays to meet residents’ dietary needs, labeling and dating food, and delivering carts to nursing units while returning finished meals to the dish room.

You will work in the dish room washing dishes, prepare and deliver snacks, keep the kitchen clean, and help with garbage and general sanitation.

Qualifications

• Must have dietary aide experience (LTC preferred but not required).
• Able to follow and understand procedures.
• Deal tactfully with residents, family members and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and check diet trays to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly.
• Deliver carts to nursing units and return finished meals to the dish room.
• Work in the dish room washing dishes and utensils.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Keep the kitchen clean and sanitize floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage removal.

Dietary Aide Duties Include:

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in dish room, wash all dishes//utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage

Dietary Aide Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have dietary aide experience (LTC preferred but not required)
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc...
• Able to follow and understand procedures
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality
