Job summary

Elba Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation and service for patients, residents, and guests. This fast-paced role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and strong communication to meet dietary needs.

You will help with food prep, plating, safe service, inventory, and events planning, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a clean work environment. Training is provided for those new to dietary services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0 years of experience in dietary services; training provided.
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with dietary software systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, including food preparation, plating, and delivery.
• Maintain a clean and safe food service environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to plan and execute special events and meals.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, residents, and guests, ensuring their dietary needs are met.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines when handling patient information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or other supervisory staff.
