Job summary

Elba Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is hiring a Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation and service for patients, residents, and guests. This fast-paced role requires attention to detail, good communication, and teamwork to support the dietary team.

Shifts include mornings and early afternoons with weekends and holidays as needed. Training provided; opportunities for growth in a supportive, community-focused facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0 years of experience in dietary services or related field (training provided).
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with dietary software systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, including food preparation, plating, and delivery.
• Maintain a clean and safe food service environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to plan and execute special events and meals.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, residents, and guests, ensuring dietary needs are met.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance when handling patient information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or supervisory staff.
