Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is hiring a Rush Technician to provide technical service and perform repairs on trucks and engines. You will diagnose issues, overhaul engines, install components, and ensure safety compliance while maintaining customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets insurability guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install major components and parts as directed.
• Read job orders and determine malfunction and plan procedures.
• Inspect safety devices and ensure proper operation.
• Test drive and verify repairs meet specifications.
• Attend training and stay current with factory bulletins.
• Build positive relationships with customers to improve satisfaction.
