Job summary

Rush Truck Centers seeks skilled technicians to service and repair trucks, engines, and components across our extensive network. You will diagnose issues, overhaul engines, install critical parts, and perform test drives to ensure compliance with specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Valid driver license with insurability.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins ASE certifications are preferred & rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Repair trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install various parts and components.
• Read job orders and plan work procedures.
• Inspect safety devices and adjust as needed.
• Lubricate parts and test drive to verify specifications.
• Attend training and keep up with bulletins.
• Develop relationships with customers to improve satisfaction.
