Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service heavy- and light-duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems. The role involves aiding drivers, performing safety inspections, lubrication duties, and basic repairs across truck types with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The position offers ASE certification support with fee reimbursement, potential monthly tool allowance, and a robust benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, 401k, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist drivers with Pre/Post trip process
• Identify visible repairs on vehicles and assist in repairs
• Support lubrication and maintenance tasks as scheduled
• Understand tire inspections and air pressure adjustments
• Assist technicians in repair of basic engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical systems
• Proficient at using lubrication charts for waste trucks
• Basic computer skills to document work

Responsibilities

• Aid/assist drivers in completion of the daily Post trip and vehicle safety inspection process
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment during Safety Lane and PM's
• Complete lubrication and repair of lubrication points on vehicles as assigned on the daily schedule
• Learn and utilize brake inspection procedures and complete documentation daily
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance on Heavy Duty Equipment and service trucks
• Communicate with A & B technicians/drivers about issues and preventative techniques
• Complete all required paperwork / times in repair orders in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with policies
