Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B in Indianapolis, IN to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brakes, engines, HVAC, and more. You will work under supervision, tackle new challenges daily, and advance through a structured career path while enjoying competitive wages and benefits. Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and provide repair recommendations.
• Experience maintaining diesel and non-diesel trucks and related systems.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• 3-5 years in a technician role or recent graduation from an automotive program.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Repair chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems; air/brake systems.
• Light engine work, HVAC, suspension, drive train, and steering repairs.
• Welding and fabrication as needed for line maintenance.
• Provide safe road service to return equipment to operation.

Skills

Diagnose multi-system issues

Vehicle maintenance experience

ASE knowledge (T1-T8) a plus

CDL a plus

Experience with Class 1-8 trucks

Education

Automotive technical school graduate or student (within 3 months)
