Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is hiring a diesel technician/mechanic for roadside support in Houston. You will diagnose and repair truck maintenance issues in all weather, on the road and in shop environments, with travel within the district as needed.

The ideal candidate has tractor trailer repair experience, proficient tool use, and a valid CDL with air brake certification. DOT/OSHA safety compliance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
• Specialized training in repair/replacement of vehicle components preferred.
• Proficiency in use of shop tools required.
• Current CDL with air brake certification required; US residence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to road assist calls and identify parts to replace and warrantable repairs.
• Perform diagnostics and non-road repair work as needed.
• Restock rapid assist vehicle with tools, parts, tires, etc.
• Perform maintenance or repairs on road assist vehicle as required.
• Assist with designated in-shop repairs when not on road calls.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
