Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is hiring an experienced Technician for the Houston area. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide fleet, often with minimal supervision and a focus on safety and reliability.

The role emphasizes leadership at the site, ongoing training, and opportunities to advance within Penske’s maintenance programs. The team values dependability and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Strong problem solving, customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work safely and comply with DOT/OSHA policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Repair major components such as engines, transmissions, differentials.
• Keep work area clean and safe while using Penske tools and diagnostics.
• Learn Penske maintenance processes and participate in technician training.
• Collaborate with team and take on additional tasks as assigned.
