Job summary

Penske is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic for Roadside Assistance in Houston, TX. You will diagnose and repair truck maintenance issues on the road and in various weather conditions, ensuring safety and customer service excellence.

Qualified candidates will have tractor trailer repair experience, tool proficiency, and a valid CDL with air brake certification. This role requires travel within the district and the ability to work a 3rd shift with appropriate premiums.

Qualifications

2-4 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
Proficiency in the use of shop tools required.
Current CDL license with air brake certification required; US domicile.

Responsibilities

Respond to road assist calls and identify parts to replace and repairs warranted.
Perform diagnostics and quick non-road assist repairs as needed.
Restock rapid assist vehicle with tools, parts, tires, etc.
Perform maintenance or repairs on road assist vehicle as required.
Assist with in-shop repairs when not on road calls as directed by supervisor.
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
