Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a skilled technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, trucks, and forklifts. You will inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and service equipment, and interpret work orders and manuals to ensure compliance with manufacturer specs and FMCSA regulations.

The role requires lifting up to 70 lbs, ability to work varying shifts, and a strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to operate in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Must be 17+ years old.
• Minimum 1 year experience or trade school completion; or equivalent.
• Able to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Knowledge of heavy truck repairs and diesel engine diagnostics.
• Capable of adapting to new technology and updates.
• Strong mechanical ability and interest in engines/electronics.
• Able to lift ~70 lbs and work in awkward positions.
• Authorized to work in the United States; CDL with FMCSA requirements if driving on public roads.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, trucks, and forklifts.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and service equipment.
• Conduct FMCSA safety inspections and prepare required safety documents.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts and systems.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure performance and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain regular attendance; follow company policies.
