Job summary

Quality Repair Solutions (QRS®) in Wilmington, NC is seeking a proactive Trailer Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain semi-truck trailers and tractors out of a service truck, following DOT and safety standards. You will perform brake work, tire replacements, electrical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, using manufacturer schedules and our maintenance software.

Full-time with competitive weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience with diesel engines, air and hydraulic systems.
• 1 year experience with tractor and trailer maintenance and DOT rules.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers.
• Perform annual 90-day inspections on trailers as required.
• Ensure equipment meets FHWA standards.
• Operate yard hostler to move trailers in the facility.
• Identify parts and supplies as needed.
• Adhere to OSHA and environmental safety policies.
• Clean, organize and maintain the work environment.
• Weld using appropriate equipment.
