Job summary

Quality Repair Solutions (QRS®) is seeking a reliable Trailer Mechanic in La Porte, TX to diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on semi-truck trailers and tractors, using a service truck and following safety regulations.

You will repair, inspect and maintain equipment in a DOT-compliant environment with weekly pay, and access to benefits including medical, dental and vision plans, plus a tool/boot reimbursement program.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with equipment theory, diesel engines, air, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• 1+ year experience with tractor and trailer maintenance and DOT rules.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers.
• Perform annual/systematic 90 day inspections on equipment.
• Ensure equipment meets Federal FHWA standards.
• Operate a yard hostler to move trailers within the yard and shop.
• Identify parts and supplies as needed.
• Adhere to OSHA and environmental policies and standards.
• Keep workspace clean and organized for safety and longevity.
• Use welding equipment as required.
