Job summary

Quality Repair Solutions (QRS®) is seeking a Trailer Mechanic in North Charleston, SC to diagnose, repair, and maintain semi-truck trailers and tractors. Work involves brake work, tire replacement, electrical troubleshooting, and following DOT regulations while documenting maintenance in software.

The role includes 1 year of related experience, a high school diploma, and a benefits package with 401(k) matching and paid time off. Monday–Friday schedules and service-truck operations are typical."

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with diesel engines, air, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• 1 year of experience with tractor and trailer maintenance and DOT rules/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers.
• Perform annual/90-day inspections as required.
• Ensure equipment meets Federal FHWA standards.
• Operate a yard hostler to move trailers as needed.
• Identify parts and supplies as needed.
• Follow OSHA safety and environmental policies.
