Job summary

Quality Repair Solutions (QRS®) seeks an energetic Trailer Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on semi-truck trailers and tractors in Augusta, GA. You will work from a service truck, perform brake work, tire replacements, electrical troubleshooting, and basic structural repairs, adhering to DOT and company standards, while documenting work in maintenance software.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience with diesel engines, air, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience with tractor and trailer maintenance and DOT rules and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers.
• Perform annual 90-day inspections as required.
• Ensure equipment meets Federal FHWA standards.
• Operate a yard hostler to move trailers within the yard and shop.
• Identify parts and supplies as needed.
• Follow OSHA and environmental safety policies and dispose of hazardous waste properly.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Use welding equipment as required.
