Job summary

Quality Repair Solutions (QRS) in Houston, TX is seeking a Trailer Mechanic to diagnose and repair tractors and trailers, perform maintenance, and ensure compliance with DOT and Federal standards. Work is performed from a service truck with safety protocols followed.

The role requires 1 year of related experience, welding capabilities or TIG proficiency, and a High School diploma. The company provides weekly pay, benefits, and 401K matching to support long-term careers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience with diesel engines, air, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Minimum 1 year of tractor/trailer maintenance experience and knowledge of DOT rules.
• R-Stamp welding capable (2G, 3G, 4G) and TIG experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers. Perform inspections to meet FHWA standards.
• Operate yard equipment to move trailers within the yard and shop.
• Order and receive parts as needed and ensure safety compliance.
