Job summary

Republic Services, based in Tennessee, is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment across our fleet. You will work under supervision on chassis components, refuse bodies, braking, engine, HVAC, suspension, drive train and steering.

You’ll diagnose multi-system issues, perform preventative maintenance, and safely provide road service when needed. Training on new technologies will be provided; join a team with strong career paths and comprehensive

Qualifications

Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and consistently demonstrate technical expertise.
Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
Experience with maintenance on Classes 1–5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7–8 trucks, aircraft, or ships.
ASE Certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
3–5 years of technician experience in gasoline and diesel equipment or recent graduation from automotive college/technical school.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintenance on chassis components, refuse bodies, braking and electrical systems.
Perform general engine, HVAC, suspension, drive train and steering work.
Provide safe road service when needed to return equipment to operation.
Identify malfunction sources using electronic tools and complete training programs.
Adhere to company policies and assist with other duties as assigned.
