Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Diesel Tech Trainee in Cranberry Township, PA. The role offers paid on-the-job training, a clear path to becoming a Ryder Diesel Mechanic Technician, and benefits starting after 30 days.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, first shift 5:00 am–1:00 pm, with weekly pay and strong support for veterans. No prior experience is required; extensive safety training, stock discounts, and tuition repayment programs are highlighted.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Zero to one year mechanical experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Strong technical aptitude with ability to learn to use and maintain equipment and machinery preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems; work independently or as part of a team.
• Professional representation of Ryder and engagement with customers.

Responsibilities

• Move heavy duty vehicles into or out of yard, wash bay, service shop, or rental shop.
• Perform multi-point inspection on inbound units as required by company policies and procedures.
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards; perform facility maintenance and minor tasks.
• Attend and complete Technician Training Development Program requirements and assessments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
