Job summary

Kenworth South Florida in Ft. Lauderdale is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician/Mechanic to diagnose, maintain, and repair medium- and heavy-duty trucks. You will work hands-on to identify problems and implement effective repairs, ensuring equipment remains safe and compliant.

Prior Kenworth experience is preferred but not required for the right technician. This is a full-time, first-shift position with a competitive hourly rate of $25.00 to $45.00, plus production bonuses.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel vehicles.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles as directed by the Service Manager
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and provide effective repair solutions
• Create accurate repair estimates (CDK experience a plus)
• Maintain precise, detailed records of all repairs performed and parts used
• Communicate with factory/OEM technical support as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation & Schedule

• $25–$40/hour (based on experience)
• Production bonuses available
• Full-time, first shift — Monday–Friday
