Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co. is seeking a skilled Technician at our Binghamton, NY location. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, using Penske’s diagnostic tools and processes to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

You will work with experienced supervisors and gain access to industry-certified training as part of our career growth. The position offers a Tuesday–Friday 12:00pm–8:30pm and Saturday 6:00am–2:30pm schedule, with a pay rate of $24.00 per hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Use Penske’s tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs on gas and diesel engines.
• Learn new skills via Penske’s technician training and coaching.
• Support supervisor and assist on other projects as needed.
