Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to follow written instructions and safety rules

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools and technologies, including basic diagnostics
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation, lubrication, and simple electrical/cooling system work on gas and diesel engines
• Collaborate with manager to learn new skills through Penske training and coaching
• Take on other projects as assigned by supervisor
