Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Compliance with Penske safety and maintenance policies and DOT/OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire replacement, lubrication, and basic electrical and cooling system work on gas/diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske's technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
