Job summary

Penske is hiring a Technician in California (Ceres). You’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, using Penske’s tools and training to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

You’ll work with seasoned supervisors and master technicians, gaining industry-certified training and hands-on coaching. If you’re mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn, this role offers growth and stability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to follow safety policies (DOT/OSHA) and use required tools.
• Willingness to work the stated schedule and training travel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and component lubrication on gas/diesel vehicles; basic electrical & cooling system upkeep.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and coaching.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
