Penske Truck Leasing is hiring a Technician in Mebane, NC. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, using Penske’s diagnostic tools to log and complete repairs. You’ll work with experienced supervisors and access ongoing training to grow your career.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass background/safety checks.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and component lubrication, some electrical, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Collaborate with management to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training program.
• Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
