Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Technician in Garner, NC. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, using Penske's tools and diagnostic equipment.

You’ll learn Penske’s vehicle maintenance processes while working with experienced supervisors to ensure workmanship and safety. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of auto/diesel repair experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose simple vehicle issues.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate shop tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs to fleet vehicles.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs including basic diagnostics.
• Conduct maintenance like tire rotation, lubrication, and cooling system checks on gas/diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske's technician training and coaching.
• Coordinate with supervisor on additional projects as needed.
