Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to comply with Penske safety policies and DOT/OSHA requirements; background checks and drug screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and related repairs on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Learn new skills via Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching with your supervisor.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
