Job summary

Penske is hiring a Technician in Wixom, MI to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet. You’ll work with Penske’s tools, receive hands-on coaching, and grow through our technician training programs.

You should have basic mechanical aptitude, a valid driver's license, and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience. DOT safety requirements and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Willingness to pass DOT/safety requirements and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicle safety for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance like tire rotation and lubrication on gas/diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training and coaching.
• Assist with other projects as assigned by supervisor.
