Job summary

Penske in Jessup, MD is seeking a technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a varied fleet. You’ll use Penske tools and receive hands-on coaching from experienced technicians to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Team player who can work outdoors and with others.
• Must comply with DOT, OSHA and Penske safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles and keep them safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on gas and diesel engines, including tires and lubrication.
• Learn new skills through Penske training and hands-on coaching with your supervisor.
• Handle other projects as assigned by your supervisor.
