Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is hiring a Technician in Raleigh, NC. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, using Penske's tools and technology to diagnose and complete repairs.

The role offers growth opportunities and comprehensive training under experienced supervision. You will learn Penske’s maintenance processes and expected safety practices, with access to industry-certified training and a clean, well-equipped shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must understand and comply with Penske safety policies and DOT/OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
• Using Penske's tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs on gas and diesel engines.
• Partnering with your manager to learn new skills through Penske's technician training.
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
