Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet. You'll log work, use Penske's tools, and help keep vehicles safe and on the road.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must follow Penske safety policies including DOT/OSHA and PPE.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel within near geography for training.
• DOT-regulated role with driver qualification file and potential CDL drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Keep vehicles maintained and safe for customers.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and related repair tasks.
• Learn new skills through Penske training and hands-on coaching.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
