Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Team-oriented and willing to work outdoors
• Basic computer skills
• Must follow DOT, OSHA and Penske safety policies
• Regular, predictable attendance required
• Ability to pass drug screening and DOT-related requirements

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service vehicles to ensure safety for customers
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training and coaching
• Collaborate with the manager on tasks and other projects as assigned
