Penske is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic III (Entry Level) in South Holland, IL. Pay ranges from $26 to $29 per hour, with an additional $2 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Excellent benefits and opportunities for growth are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventive maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication, plus some electrical and cooling system maintenance.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
