Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions in Bloomington, IN is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic III – Entry Level. You’ll perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs across a diverse fleet under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience.
• The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
• The ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• The associate must be able to pass DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies; including use of appropriate tools and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Performing preventative maintenance and lubrication/replacement tasks.
• Partnering with your manager to learn new skills via Penske’s training and coaching.
• Working on other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
