Job summary

Penske is seeking an entry-level Diesel Technician/Mechanic III in Jackson, MS. You will perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and diagnostics, learning Penske’s maintenance processes and using Penske tools.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Team player with ability to work outside and in a shop environment.
• Must understand and follow Penske safety and maintenance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and component lubrication on gas and diesel engines.
• Learn new skills with supervision and Penske training programs.
• Handle additional tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor.
