Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Technician in Newnan, GA. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, ensuring vehicles stay safe and on the road. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to use tools and work with mechanical systems
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors
• Basic computer skills
• Must follow Penske safety policies including DOT/OSHA requirements and PPE usage
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential
• DOT requirements and possible travel for training may apply

Responsibilities

• Maintain and inspect vehicles to keep customers safe and on the road
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics
• Perform preventative maintenance and component lubrication/replacement, some electrical and cooling system work
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching
• Work on additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
